It really is. It is 100% okay to feel like now is just not your time. I’ve been there. Actually, to be completely honest with you, I think I spend more time in that mindset than I should. I find that when I feel like I am finally getting somewhere, everything just sort of stops. Then I realized that it isn’t everything else that stops, it’s me. If I am going through an emotionally difficult time in my personal life, I watch my business suffer. If I am feeling stressed out or overwhelmed with studying or bills or keeping my home in great shape, I will push my goals and aspirations to the side until the cloud passes. Then I wait. For what, you ask? I couldn’t tell you.
I don’t know why I let these things stop me in my tracks. I work every day to keep on pushing through owning a business that is 100% not bringing home enough bread to be my only source of income (yet). I think that is the hardest part about starting your own business – whether it’s big or small. Being able to push through not standing where your vision of “success” is.¬† The turnaround can be slow and tiring and seem totally not worth it at times. Looking back, I noticed that it was through the most difficult times in my personal life that I pushed the hardest. It made me want to share more, to learn more and to help more.
I hit these speed bumps allllllllll the time and I am here to accept the fact that life and business would be extremely dull without them. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but, you’re also going to hit these speed bumps. Some will be higher than others, and some will force you to take it easy. It truly is the hard times that you go through that’ll reveal your strengths and give you the courage and most importantly, the confidence, to push further time and time again.
